Pro-Migrant Activist Murdered by her Migrant Lover

Open-borders activist Jamey Carney was murdered in Killarney – a peaceful Irish town with a near-zero homicide rate. Her killer? The failed asylum seeker she publicly praised as her "safe love".

43-year-old single mother Jamey Carney lived with her 13-year-old daughter, Michaela Carney, in a rented home in the Homeland housing estate in Killarney, Ireland. The pair had moved to Ireland from New York in May 2021, as according to her cousin, Jamey wanted a clean break from personal struggles in the United States. The cousin claimed that Jamey’s move to Ireland was motivated by a desire to raise her young daughter, Michaela, in a peaceful, safe, and community-oriented town like Killarney. The move had followed a holiday in Ireland where Jamey Carney had fell completely in love with Ireland’s history, local culture, and natural scenery. Her cousin noted that she was immensely proud of her ancestral “Fenian roots” – she idolised 19th-century Irish revolutionaries and always felt a powerful emotional draw to the country. After making the permanent move in 2021, she quickly built a life there, working in the healthcare sector and becoming an active figure in several of Killarney’s ‘community’ groups.

On Monday July 6^th 2026 Jamey’s daughter Michaela had gone to stay at a friend’s house for a sleepover, leaving Jamey and her boyfriend Ahmed Al-Saqer at home alone to enjoy an evening together. Al-Saqar, who is just 28-years-old, had arrived in Ireland via its open border with Northern Ireland in June 2024 after previously entering the UK on a tourist visa. Immediately on entering Ireland he sought political asylum; however his application was rejected, but he legally challenged the ruling, which allowed him to remain in the country temporarily pending the outcome of his appeal. Jamey Carney had met Ahmed Alsaqer at a pro-Palestine rally in Killarney in September 2025 and then began dating him soon after. Jamey Carney was highly active in left-wing circles, and she had a particular focus on both the pro-Palestinian movement and immigrant advocacy. As such, her relationship with Al-Saqar seemed more than just romantic, it became part of her identity.

Jamey Carney’s social media accounts reflected her ‘progressive’ New York background and were heavily focused on her political activities. Her posts explicitly highlighted her opposition to immigration enforcement with her profile biographies prominently featuring anti-ICE statements and critiques of U.S. border control policies. She actively championed the rights of refugees and asylum seekers, frequently using her platform to lobby for open borders and greater financial assistance for foreign nationals arriving in Ireland. What’s more, her alignment with the left-wing pro-migration movement had bled into her personal life, and as a result she had converted to Islam, as such she regularly took part in Islamic marches, and frequently used Arabic cultural terms of endearment on her profiles. Her sister, Devon Bennett, later summarised her commitment to the pro-migration cause by stating that Jamey “dedicated so much of herself, her energy, and her time, to fighting for the rights of others”.

When Jamey Carney did use her social media to post about personal issues it was more often than not to let the world know how wonderful Ahmed Al-Saqer was. She frequently expressed not only her deep affection for Al-Saqar, but also expressed great pride in her relationship with him. In one of the video montages she posted about him, she explicitly praised Al-Saqar’s character writing that “He continues to show me what safe love is”. In other posts during the same period, she openly described him as “the most kind, emotionally intelligent, and self-aware person I have ever known”. She also regularly used Arabic terms of endearment, such as calling him her “love,” and would post screenshots of romantic text messages that they had exchanged. She promoted her relationship as a positive proof of her political and social ideals – opening up her private life to the public and letting the world know that Al-Saqar was the perfect partner and that such a partnership was only possible thanks to migration and multiculturalism.

In early July 2026 she shared an image of herself posing with Ahmed Al-Saqar alongside her 13-year-old daughter, Michaela, and their family dog, in order to show the world that Al-Saqar was fully integrated into her household life and part of her family. On Saturday, July 4^th 2026 she uploaded a tribute to her American roots by sharing a picture of herself with Al-Saqar. The photo showed the couple cuddling up together while wearing New York sports shirts (Jamey Carney wore a Knicks shirt and Al-Saqar wore a Giants shirt), the couple were posed in front of an AI-generated digital backdrop of Times Square. Jamey Carney wanted the world to know that she was not only the living embodiment of progressive open-border politics, but she had found the love of her life through her open-minded embrace of an asylum seeker who in turn had brought her all the happiness in the world.

On Tuesday July 7^th 2026 Michaela Carney returned from the sleepover she attended the previous night, she arrived at home at approximately 1:30 PM. As she entered the house where she lived with her mother, she noticed that it was eerily silent - there was no sign of her mother Jamey or of her mother’s boyfriend Ahmed Al-Saqar. After walking around downstairs for a short while and finding the house to be empty, she began calling out to see if anyone was at home. Michaela then went upstairs to look for her mother and eventually entered the master bedroom. Upon opening the door, the teenager was confronted with the scene of a violent crime – the bedroom was covered with blood splatter and in the centre of the bed covered with a duvet there was what appeared to be a human body. Michaela approached the bed and cautiously removed the duvet to reveal her mother’s severely beaten body and immediately realised she was dead.

Traumatised and in a state of severe shock, 13-year-old Michaela fled the house immediately. Instead of calling emergency services directly, she ran to the home of a trusted family friend living nearby to report what she had just seen. The family friend immediately contacted emergency services and within minutes, local Killarney Police and paramedics arrived at the house. Emergency responders officially pronounced Jamey Carney dead at the scene, and police officers immediately sealed off the bedroom, designating the property a crime scene and launching a murder inquiry. Jamey Carney’s battered and bloody body lay in a crumpled heap in the middle of her bed, but the man who she claimed had showed her “what safe love is”, Ahmed Al-Saqar, was nowhere to be seen – as by the time Jamey’s body was discovered, he was well on his way back to the country he claimed he had fled from. At the post-mortem, Jamey’s cause of death was officially ruled as suffocation, as during the assault Al-Saqar had covered her nose and mouth, which was ultimately what killed her.

Following the murder, Ahmed Al-Saqar enacted a rapid escape from Ireland. CCTV footage captured Al-Saqar walking on Muckross Road in Killarney in the early hours of Tuesday morning, July 7^th 2026, immediately after leaving Jamey’s house. Within three hours of the estimated time of death, he boarded a 3:00 AM overnight bus from Killarney directly to Dublin. Upon arriving in Dublin, he took a taxi straight to the Airport. Using his own passport, Al-Saqar purchased a last-minute, one-way Turkish Airlines ticket to Istanbul for approximately €350. His flight departed Dublin at 10:40 AM on Tuesday morning. He touched down at Istanbul International Airport early in the afternoon –approximately one hour before Jamey’s daughter discovered her body and the first police alert went out. Because Jamey’s body had not yet been discovered, he passed through security without any issues and vanished into the crowded city.

On Wednesday, July 8^th 2026, Ahmed Al-Saqar logged into his personal Facebook and Instagram accounts to check the unfolding news coverage before permanently deleting his social media profiles to prevent international law enforcement agents from tracking him. Irish police and international authorities quickly realised that Al-Saqar had no plans to remain in Turkey and intelligence reports suggested that he immediately leveraged a wide network of regional contacts to cross from Turkey into his native country of Jordan. International law enforcement agents initially feared that he would effectively disappear within the lawless or tribal border regions of the country. However, he was recently located in his hometown of Al-Husn and detained by Jordanian authorities. As Ireland does not have an extradition agreement with Jordan, bringing Al-Saqar back to Ireland would normally be a complex process. Under Irish law, authorities are strictly prohibited from requesting extradition solely for questioning. As such, before any formal extradition request can even be drafted, Irish police must first submit a comprehensive evidence file to the Director of Public Prosecutions to secure an official direction to charge him with murder – only then can a formal international arrest warrant be issued.

But how could a loving and healthy relationship turn so sour so quickly? After all, just days before her brutal murder Jamey Carney was flooding social media with proclamations of her love for Ahmed Al-Saqar and boasting that he was a model boyfriend. But behind closed doors, the relationship was not as idyllic and calm as Carney claimed on social media. Just a week before her death, Jamey Carney had confided in a close friend that Ahmed Al-Saqar had asked her for a large sum of money – specifically €5,000. Her cousin, Ryan Fox, also revealed to the media that Jamey had recently inherited assets following her father’s death. Family members stated that it was precisely after this inheritance that “certain people” entered her life to take financial advantage of her. Whilst it has not been publicly confirmed by Irish police if Al-Saqar stole large sums of money from her prior to the murder, detectives are actively auditing Jamey’s bank statements, phone records, and financial transactions to see if she complied with his financial demands or if a refusal triggered the fatal confrontation.

But demands for large sums of money weren’t the only irregularity surrounding the relationship. Despite Jamey Carney always referring to Al-Saqar as her ‘boyfriend’, he described the relationship in a very different manner. Despite only knowing each other for a matter of months, a former roommate of Al-Saqar who was interviewed after the murder told authorities that Al-Saqar had been claiming to friends that he and Carney had secretly married in an Islamic religious ceremony at a mosque earlier in the year – this claim has since been verified by mainstream sources. As a result, Al-Saqar had publicly labelled her as his “bride” online. And despite the loving façade presented on her social media accounts, the relationship culminated in extreme volatility and deadly violence. Late on the night of Jamey’s murder, neighbours reported hearing a loud, explosive, and heated argument echoing from Carney’s house – this occurred just hours before Al-Saqar boarded the 3:00 AM overnight bus to Dublin when making his escape.

What at first glance may appear to be a tragic story of a woman who chose the wrong partner and met an untimely end can be viewed in a very different light when all the facts are assessed. Whilst every woman has the right to freely enter into a relationship with any man she desires, with such a right comes responsibilities – especially when a woman has children to consider. The first serious red flag is obviously the fact that Ahmed Al-Saqar was a failed asylum seeker exploiting legal appeal loopholes in order to avoid deportation. Al-Saqar had passed through numerous safe countries and entered Ireland through a convoluted route in order to seek political asylum; a claim that was rejected. Obviously at this point, Al-Saqar had not only proved that he was dishonest, but it stands to reason that he would be looking for any way to avoid deportation, and entering into a relationship with a woman in Ireland may well have aided his case. It is worth also noting that after the murder he was discovered and detained in his home town, further underlining that his asylum claim was utterly bogus.

The second obvious red flag relates to age – as Al-Saqar was 15-years the junior of Jamey Carney. Carney had obviously been in at least one serious relationship before and was already a single mother. When taking into account her personal status and her age, one might assume she would know better than to chase a man who was as close to her daughter’s age as he was to her own. But Carney seemed to revel in this fact and broadcast the details of her relationship at every opportunity like a love-sick teenager, even going as far as to describe Al-Saqar as “the most kind, emotionally intelligent, and self-aware person” that she had ever known. It was almost as if with every social media post, she was not only lying to her friends, family and the public, but also to herself. Some may describe these posts as ‘delusional’, but the posts were more likely deliberately crafted to justify what she was doing in order to maintain a façade so that she did not lose face. Because of her political views, admitting that a migrant man who she met at a pro-Palestinian event was not in fact ‘god’s gift’ to women would have been seen by her as a denial of her world view.

But if the issues already presented hadn’t set alarm bells ringing, there was also the issue of money. It is common for white women to get caught up in ‘romance scams’ where they end up sending large sums of money to men they met overseas whilst on holiday. According to data from agencies like Action Fraud in the UK and the FTC in the US, romance scams account for hundreds of millions of pounds/dollars in losses annually. Holiday destinations with sharp economic divides from Western countries (such as parts of Turkey, North Africa, and Southeast Asia) are frequent hotspots for these specific holiday-romance financial scams. Carney’s relationship with Al-Saqar appears to bear a number of similarities to these romance scams and Al-Saqar may have specifically targeted Jamey as she was an older woman and a single mother who he may well have viewed as an easy target. It is now a documented fact Al-Saqar had asked her for large sums of money and thanks to Jamey’s recent inheritance it may be the case that Al-Saqar had planned to drain her financially as well as using her as a potential means of remaining in Ireland.

But despite all these red flags, Jamey Carney just kept doubling-down on the relationship and kept boasting to anyone who would listen that she was involved in a multi-cultural romance that validated all her political and social beliefs. That is until “the most kind, emotionally intelligent, and self-aware person” she had ever met smashed her head in, suffocated her and left her crumpled body under a duvet for her teenage daughter to discover. And that is the only small saving grace to this sorry tale. Despite the fact that Michaela Carney discovered her mother’s body in such a shocking state – something that will undoubtedly live with her forever – at least she was safe with friends when Al-Saqar beat and suffocated Jamey to death, otherwise Michaela could also have been killed. And it is that threat to Michaela’s wellbeing that is ultimately the most damning indictment of Jamey Carney’s choices.

Jamey Carney didn’t just put herself at risk; she was happy to let a man like Ahmed Al-Saqar enter her home and be around her 13-year-old daughter – despite the fact that she knew that he was not all that she claimed on social media. This provides a valuable insight into the mindset of Jamey Carney and people like her. Jamey Carney was so committed to the left-wing ideals of open borders, freedom of movement and the rights of migrants that she appeared to seek out a migrant lover in a ridiculous and vain attempt to prove the world wrong about the people she chose to defend. Instead of acting her age, she behaved like a desperate school girl and entered into an obviously flawed relationship out of a stubborn desire to prove the rest of the world wrong. As a result, she not only lost her life, but she proved every single one of her critics correct and the news of her brutal murder has only served to highlight the dangers of mass immigration and the threat migrants pose to European women.

But Jamey’s belief in her ideals was so strong, that even when the relationship had clearly turned sour, she couldn’t let go, she couldn’t stop boasting, she couldn’t stop praising the man who was financially draining her and clearly using her. Jamey’s political beliefs were so important to her that ultimately her desire to place Ahmed Al-Saqar on a pedestal in order to prove to the world that migrants enrich the West became more important to her than the safety of herself and her daughter. It might not be rare for a social media profile to present a false view of reality that paints a disingenuously rosy image of someone’s life, but for reality to be in such stark contrast with what is shown on social media has to be rather unique. At this point, some will undoubtedly claim that Jamey Carney was brainwashed, naïve or idealistic – words used to effectively rob Jamey of any agency and paint her as an unknowing victim. However, she was none of those things.

Jamey Carney knew exactly what she was doing and her mindset was absolutely typical of those on the left. Interestingly, this case is a window into the mindset of a multiculturalist open-border fanatic. When analysing Jamey’s adherence to her belief system, it appears that her thought process was more typical of someone who subscribes to a religion rather than a set of political beliefs which are usually based on fact rather than faith. As such, it can be stated that the leftist or liberal mindset is not based on quantifiable facts and as a result is not open to reason. Instead, the liberal/left belief in both multiculturalism and open-borders is based on dogmatic faith. As such, despite the obvious and growing problems that are downstream of immigration and demographic change, those who endorse migration into the West will always keep doubling-down on open border policies – not because they have evidence that migration is making life better for those in the West, but because they have an unshakable faith in multiculturalism, which has become a sacred cow to these people.

Had Jamey Carney been able to admit the truth to herself and never let Al-Saqar back in her home after he had first asked her for an obscene amount of money, she would likely still be alive today and her daughter would not only still have a mother, but would never have had to witness a scene that will undoubtedly affect her for the rest of her life. However, for Jamey Carney, admitting the truth and ending her relationship was not a simple matter of coming to the realisation that she had picked the wrong partner; to her it would have been a public admission that her beliefs were flawed. What’s more, had she broken off the relationship with Ahmed Al-Saqar, it would have shown up her social media façade as a lie and damaged the very identity that she had carefully crafted. As such, Jamey continued to lie to everyone, continued to put the man who would end up being her killer on a pedestal, and worse still, she continued to put her daughter in danger. Jamey Carney sacrificed herself on the alter of multiculturalism and open borders, because ultimately; she felt it was better to take such a risk than simply admit she was wrong.

The final irony in this case is that Jamey Carney moved herself and her daughter to Killarney because it is renowned for being a safe and peaceful town. Killarney has a population of roughly 14,500 people and like most of rural Ireland, violent crime – specifically murder – is a statistical anomaly. For most consecutive years, the number of murders recorded in the Killarney Police subdistrict is zero. This low crime rate is not an accident, but the result of a high-trust homogenous European society. Jamey Carney’s dogmatic belief in both multiculturalism and open borders led to her bringing a failed asylum seeker into her Killarney home as a trophy boyfriend, making Killarney both less homogenous and far-less safe than it was previously. Ironically Jamey’s actions and choices have turned her into the one thing she would have hated the most – she has become the ultimate statistical anomaly; the one murder victim in Killarney. Ultimately, she is a casualty of the very open-border system she championed, leaving a legacy that highlights the exact security risks that those she branded as ‘right wing bigots’ had long warned against.
